Kurth Kiln regional park is about 35km from where we live and until recently had been an unexplored gem. Apart from being a nice area of bushland with the usual birds and animals, it also has a fascinating history. There is no point in me reproducing that history here, you can find it at Kurth Kiln – Wikipedia and also at www.friendsofkurthkiln.org.au. The photos that follow are from two trips, one with just Hazel and I and the other with our good friends Rob and Kate. On both occasions we chose to picnic there which was extremely enjoyable.
